Practice Philosophy

I try and develop a strong rapport with my patients by learning about their past and present and helping them discover what they want for their future and how to obtain it. I think the most important part of what I do is intent, non-judgmental listening. It's amazing how much progress people can make when they just feel understood.

Dr. Thaddeus M Garland

Dr. Garland completed his medical school training at the Medical College of Georgia. He subsequently completed his general psychiatry residency at Nassau University Medical Center on Long Island, NY and went on to complete his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Georgetown University. After working in a group setting for three years in Northern Virginia, he decided to pursue telepsychiatry in order to make access to mental health care more accessible.
